I'm sitting here wondering if I read the same book as other reviewers. It isn't the worst book I've read, but the plot holes, lack of originality, and serious grammatical errors make it quite difficult to enjoy. Sure, there is action, but no suspense. Ariella's reactions to events are less than believable, and to me, they make her a less likable heroine. I'm sorry, but I saw every "twist" coming, and it made it difficult to want to complete reading the story. It has promise, but it needs a lot of work.

I couldn't put it down!!!!! Reading the next one soon!
Just finished reading it and I loved it. I'm totally team Daymon and team Ariella. I'm already dying to read part 2. What will happen next. Wait part 3 is almost out? Ugh this is killing me.
I was a bit skeptical about reading this book. I generally don't read new adult books, but this was a free book and I liked the story line, so I thought what the heck.Once I started reading I couldn't put it down. The main character was engaging from the first page ,it kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end.
I'm about halfway through the book and it is quite enjoyable. There are some grammatical and word usage issues that I have noticed. At first it didn't really bother me, but it did start to detract from the book. I.E. balling should be bawling (as in crying). The sentence structure on some phrases would seem a bit odd, but that could be a regional thing.
Overall, a fun book and an enjoyable read
Honestly I was skeptical to read this at first, but let me tell you I am not disappointed. This book has its fair share of bad reviews as it does good. I loved this book so much that I have already read book 2 which is just as good! I recommend this to anyone who likes supernatural/ paranormal type books. Great job Tarisa Marie!
I really apologize for vomiting all over the author. But WOW. I couldn't get past more than a few chapters. The writing is just extremely predictable, repetitious, juvenile, and plain old boring. I get the whole coming-of-age thing, and the modern emphasis on girls with ridiculously calculated powers. This was just badly done.
Love the story...but seriously get an editor. The story is captivating, the pace is good, and doesn't get stagnant. The grammar is horrible. I typically do not get hung up on a few typos or poor word choices, but this is awful. The typos get worse in the second book. It's almost as though the book was written in another language and then someone clicked translate. Tarisa, please re-read your books before publishing or try a text to speech program so you can hear the mistakes. I just bought the third book. I enjoy paranormal books especially if there is a new spin. It's really harder to rate this book. I probably should only give 3 stars due to the errors. However, if the errors were corrected, it could be a 5 star story. Hopefully, the pace continues and the author does not fall into the trap of extending the series indefinitely, creating sub-par story lines, writing filler books to bulk up the series, etc.
Read Tainted Crimson for the story, but don't expect it to win any awards...though I could picture it on a movie screen.
